About Debbie

Debbie Brokaw Jackson was born and raised in Ventura County, and recently moved back after almost 20 years in Oregon. While in Oregon, she served as Executive Director of a non-profit organization providing positive youth development and family-strengthening programs. During her tenure, the program developed a successful funding strategy, won an award for its teen programming, and participated in many collaborative initiatives.

Debbie is a graduate of the Ford Institute for Community Building’s Leadership Training Program, and of the Chinook Institute for Civic Leadership. She became a Community Trainer, and has delivered intensive leadership trainings to several groups of community leaders. She has facilitated sessions in strategic planning, collaboration, development, and governance for many non-profits and for family businesses.
